Imphal, November 04 2024:
Social welfare minister Heikham Dingo inaugurated a newly constructed community hall at Khurkhul Lamkhai under Sekmai assembly constituency in Imphal West district and handed over the hall to people of his constituency on Monday.
Addressing the gathering at the community hall constructed with his Local Area Development Fund (LADF), minister Dingo said developing a single village cannot bring overall development in a constituency, as a constituency would be considered progressive when entire villages/localities have access to basic amenities.
He then stressed the need for bringing inclusive development in Sekmai AC.
According to minister Dingo, construction of community halls in different villages/localities are nearing completion and his next priorities would be improvement of roads and bridges in Sekmai AC.
Despite the state facing financial difficulties, bad roads and bridges in Sekmai AC would be improved with funds from available sources, he assured and appealed to people of the constituency to share constructive suggestions in bringing overall development.
The inauguration function was also attended by 7-Khurkhul ZP member H Devendro, Khurkhul GP pradhan I Shanta, BJP Manipur Pradesh SC Morcha president Ng Raghumani, Sekmai Mandal president N Naobi and Khurkhul Lam-khai elder H Pathon, besides leaders of local Meira Paibi groups and clubs.
