Imphal, October 04 2026: Under the CMAT 2025-26 of the Art and Culture Department, Cosmopolitan Dramatic Union, Kongba staged its play 'Changlibra Sirabra' today at the Manipur Dramatic Union Hall, Yaiskul Police Lane.

The staging was attended by retired IAS officer Kangjam Radhakumar as chief guest.

The play is adapted into a drama by Kshetri Sanajaoba from Rabindranath Tagore's short story "Jibito O Mrito (Living or Dead)" with Romola Yensembam as production coordinator.

According to director Nandakumar Moirangthem, 'Changlibra Sirabra' is staged as an experimental play departing from traditional Manipuri drama.

He said it is presented in a hybrid form combining techniques of Indian theatre, Italian dramatist Luigi Pirandello and German dramatist Bertolt Brecht along with the concept of absurdism.
