Uring Khinba ritual solemnised

Thoubal, October 04 2024: Chengei Ching Emoinu Thougal Lup, Waithou organised an Urong Khinba ceremony of Emoinu Ahong Achaobi at Waithou Chengei Ching (Chengei Sumang) where a shrine for the goddess is in the process of being built.

The foundation stone for the shrine was laid on February 14 of this year.

The ritualistic ceremony, which involves erection of an idol/statue/figure of the goddess, was graced by Keisham Raghumani, Yaishkul-Lakpa of Sana Konung; members of Chengei Ching Emoinu Thougal Lup, many shamans and locals from the area also paid obseisance to the goddess on the occasion.

Notably, Rajya Sabha MP Leisemba Sanajaoba was also present on the auspicious occasion.
