Indian Army marks Gandhi Jayanti with tree plantation and medical camps in Manipur

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Indian Army organised tree plantation drives and medical camps across Manipur, drawing enthusiastic participation from local communities.
In Churachandpur, saplings were planted at Tuikong cluster and Tuikong Primary School, with active involvement from local residents and school children.
A medical camp was also organised providing essential healthcare support to villagers, especially women, children, and the elderly.
Simultaneously, in Bishnupur district, the Indian Army in collaboration with the Bishnupur Forest Division conducted tree plantation programme at TE Paul Memorial High School, Kumbi Sandhong Relief Camp and BK Golden Academy where over 250 saplings were planted with active involvement of villagers and volunteers.
These initiatives reflected the Army's commitment not only to safeguarding the nation but also to fostering community welfare and environmental sustainability.
The events witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local population, who came forward to plant saplings, avail medical facilities, and spread awareness about the importance of protecting the environment.
The Indian Army's efforts were warmly welcomed, further strengthening the bond between the security forces and the people of Manipur.
