AR conducts "video unveiling ceremony"

Imphal, August 30 2026: Assam Rifles organised a "Video Unveiling Ceremony" for the upcoming 3rd DGAR Hockey Tournament at its Mantripukhri Garrison in Imphal East district yesterday.

The initiative aimed to generate widespread digital awareness and social media publicity ahead of the upcoming sporting event.

The ceremony brought together prominent public figures, social media influencers and personalities including iconic actress Bala, Maj Karan (Retd), Susan Khwairakpam, Sachinkar, Tete, Simba, Alex, Alice and Babloo.

As part of the promotional drive, tournament's T-shirts were distributed to the influencers to facilitate digital outreach and enhance visibility on online platforms.

The highlight of the event was the official unveiling and release of the promotional video, which captures hockey skills, sporting excellence, camaraderie and athletic passion.

Building on the notable success and wide popularity of its previous two editions held at Khuman Lampak, the DGAR Hockey Tournament has established itself as a cornerstone platform for youth empowerment in Manipur.

By celebrating the State's sports legacy, the initiative provides budding talent a constructive channel for skill refinement, athletic growth and healthy engagement, offering the youth a positive direction away from regional strife and ongoing social unrest, said PRO IGAR (S) in a press release.
