Free cancer detection and awareness camp held at Irengbam

With the objective of promoting early detection and prevention of cancer, a one-day free cancer detection and awareness camp was organised today at Irengbam Kangjeibung Hall in Bishnupur district.
The camp was jointly organised by the Cancer Survivors of Manipur (CaSOM), KARKINOS Manipur and CMO Pool Bishnupur.
The programme aimed to raise awareness about the importance of early screening in saving lives and reducing cancer-related disabilities.
The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including former Health Director of Manipur, who is now serving as HOD of KARKINOS Cancer Care, Dr Kangujam Rajo; KARKINOS Cancer Care Manipur RMO Dr Annie Benn Chanambam; Red SMO Dr RK Noni, CaSOM Optimistic Navika Jain; CaSOM president Sangeeta Sagolshem and Irengbam GP pradhan, Irengbam Gopen.
During the camp, a range of free medical tests were provided for participants, including haemoglobin, CBC, Blood Group, RBS, HB 1 AC, LFT, KFT, Thyroid Profile, Lipid Profile SB 12, Vitamin D, Calcium, Torch Panel, Dengue and CA 125 tests.
More than 100 people availed themselves of the free testing facilities and benefitted from the programme.
