MSCU commemorates Ministry of Cooperation's 5-year milestone

Imphal, June 29 2026:
Joining the nationwide observance, Manipur State Cooperative Union (MSCU) on Monday launched a weeklong celebration to mark five years since the establishment of the Ministry of Cooperation, at its conference hall in Lamphelpat.
The programme, held under the Ministry's vision "Sahakar Se Samridh", will run from June 29 to July 6.MSCU Chairman L Tompishak, MSCU (Hills) Vice President Neilangam Gangmei and Valley Vice President Kh Sorojini attended as chief guest and guests of honour respectively.
Speaking at the event, Tompishak said the celebration would infuse fresh energy into the State's cooperative movement and further strengthen cooperation in Manipur.
"MSCU has a major responsibility in making the cooperative movement successful in the State.
We must all work together", he said.
He added that cooperative societies are key to grassroots economic growth and urged members to step up efforts for wider outreach.
Board directors and staff of MSCU also took part in the inaugural programme.
