Unrelated with Sekmai incident: UNLF led by Koireng

The proscribed United National Liberation Front (UNLF) led by Koireng has clarified that the outfit is unrelated with the unwanted incident that took place on September 25 near Sekmai gas bottling plant, where a driver named Wilubou Marenmai was thrashed by two unknown individuals claiming themselves to be UNLF members.
According to a UNLF statement issued by its secretary of publicity M Sak hen, it was very unfortunate that the two individuals used the party's name in thrashing the driver.
Condemning the incident, the UNLF statement said the act perpetrated by the two individuals amidst the ongoing proxy war by India using Kuki militants was very unfortunate.
The UNLF statement further said that outfit's thought of collective sustenance and harmony among indigenous peoples of Manipur remains unchanged.
The outfit will continue to prevent any untoward incident among indigenous comniunities, the statement said, adding that India government is continuing to create enmity among different communities.
