CRPF hands over public toilet, water harvesting system to Khongsang village

Imphal, February 27 2026:
As part of its Civic Action Programme under the M&N Sector, the 143 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Friday handed over a newly constructed public toilet and a water harvesting system to the villagers of Khongsang in Noney district.
The event also marked the closing ceremony of a week-long hair-grooming training programme aimed at promoting self-employment among rural youth.
Ravinder Sharma, Commandant of 143 Bn CRPF, attended the programme as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the public amenities.
He also distributed hair-grooming toolkits to participants of the barber training course, said a release issued by the 143 Bn CRPF .
The programme was held in the presence of CSS Kushwana.

Speaking on the occasion, Commandant Ravinder Sharma underscored the importance of civic programmes in fostering trust and harmony between security forces and local communities.
He emphasized that such initiatives are crucial in addressing fundamental needs and enhancing the livelihoods of local residents.
