BSF conducts CAP to support students in remote schools of Thoubal

Thoubal, November 25 2025:
In a significant outreach effort aimed at strengthening goodwill in conflict-affected regions, the Adhoc M&CXVI Bn of the Border Security Force (BSF) under the aegis of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India, and Ftr HQ BSF M&C Silchar, organised a Civic Action Programme on Tuesday at Excellent Model Academy School, Ukhongshang, in Thoubal district.
According to a release issued by the BSF, the initiative, conducted under the guidance of Adhoc Sector Manipur, witnessed enthusiastic participation from five remote schools located along the foothills of the Nongmaiching range and the western Manipur hills.
The schools include: i) The Message Mission English Medium School, Shikhong Kumbi - 190 students, ii) Eastern Blooming Flower School, Ukhongshang - 400 students, iii) Excellent Model Academy School, Ukhongshang - 600 students, iv)Sekmai Khumbi High School, Nongpok Sekmai -307 students, and v)Little Rose English School, Nongpok Sekmai - 105 students.
In addition, the IDP Camp at Rice Mill, Thoubal, received essential materials to support displaced families.
Nambashi Horton Village of Kasom Khullen in Kamjong district also received support, with the provision of Sintex water tanks and essential items for its residents.
Altogether, nearly 1,600 beneficiaries�including students, youths and villagers - took part in the BSF's ongoing outreach initiative designed to promote trust and stability in vulnerable areas.
The event was graced by the Deputy Commissioner of Thoubal as chief guest, along with Surendra Kumar, DIG, Adhoc Sector Manipur and Manoj Prabhakar, SP Thoubal.
During the programme, dignitaries distributed stationery kits, sports equipment, wall clocks, ceiling fans, tables and chairs, and water tanks to students and community members.
