RPF celebrates 46th Raising Day of PLA

Imphal, September 25 2024: The proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) reportedly celebrated the 46th Raising Day of its armed wing, People's Liberation Army (PLA) on Wednesday.

According to an RPF statement, the celebrations were held at the outfit's general headquarters, tactical command, strategic command, 252 mobile battalion, armed wing units, departments, stations and central bureau's SR-1, SR-2, SR-3 and SR-4 areas by unfurling the Front's flag and offering revolutionary salute to fallen cadres.

It was also celebrated together with the people in areas covered by division 2,4,6,8 and 10 of the party's central bureau.

Highlights of the celebration a t all these venues were honouring the party's flag, giving revolutionary salute to martyrs, reading out message of acting president Mm Ngouba delivered on the occasion, informed the RPF statement issued by its deputy secretary of publicity Roben Khuman.

The 46th Raising Day of PLA was also celebrated in a Thoubal district area covered by outfit's division-8 with CSO and Meira Paibi leaders as presidium members.

The celebration started after the gathering observed a two-minute silence in remembrance of the martyred revolutionaries and offering of rich floral tributes to the martyrs.

RPF acting president's message delivered on the occasion was also read out at the function.

Meanwhile, PLA star, festoons and banners were spotted at different places of Thoubal district early Wednesday morning before the district police swung into action to remove the same later in the day.
