Imphal, February 22 2026: A one-day seminar on "Redefining the Pharmacist Role: Transforming Clinical Pharmacy in Digital Era" was held on Sunday at Khongnangthaba University, Khurai Konsam Leikai in Imphal East.

As per a press release, the programme was organised by the College of Pharmacy, Kangleipak Medical and Nursing Institute, in collaboration with the Manipur State Pharmacy Council (MSPC) and the IQAC Cell, Khongnangthaba University.

The programme commenced with Oinam Jimmy Devi delivering the welcome address.

The keynote address was delivered by Dr N Bonika.

Addresses were also delivered by Dr N Swarnalata Devi, CC Member, Pharmacy Council of India (PCI); Soubam Brajakeshor Singh, Registrar, Manipur State Pharmacy Council (MSPC); Dr G Mariappan, Professor, St Mary's College of Pharmacy, Secunderabad; and RK Basumani Singh, president, MSPC.

The speakers highlighted the need to strengthen professional competencies, patient-centred services and practice standards in line with evolving healthcare requirements and technology-enabled systems.

The programme included cultural presentations by students.

The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Laishram Imoba Singh, Assistant Registrar, Khongnangthaba University.
