EUS training programme begins

Imphal, February 22 2025: A two-day training programme on Endoscopic Ultra Sound (EUS) 360 2025 was kicked off today at the Institute of Liver and Digestive Sciences (ILDS) Hospital at Kwakeithel.

This comes on the heels of the India Endoscopic Ultra Sound (EUS) Club, apex body of EUS, selecting ILDS as an EUS Training Center for the North East region.

On the occasion, Course Director of the programme and Managing Director of ILDS Dr N Surajkumar said that the programme was organised with the goal of providing world class gastroenterology and hepatology EUS training."The training will offer hands-on training and live demonstrations to the participating super specialist doctors from North East India.

Altogether 12 participants from Arunachal Pradesh.

Assam, Tripura and Manipur are taking part in the training programme.

Notably, an expert in this field Dr Vikas Singla, Director, Gastroenterology, MAX Hospital, New Delhi and Dr Jimil Shah, Assistant Professor, PGI, Chandigarh are the faculty of the training programme.
