Manipur Theatre Day celebrated

Imphal, October 21 2025: Theatre Centre, Manipur celebrated Manipur Theatre Day at the auditorium of Manipur Dramatic Union (MDU), Yaiskul Police Lane, Imphal today.

The celebration was graced by dignitaries, including G Dharmadas Sharma, Joint Director, Art & Culture, Manipur; Soraisam Keshoram, Manipur State Kala Akademi Awardee and president, MDU; and Pukhrambam Khogen Singh, Manipur State Kala Akademi Awardee and president, Theatre Centre, Manipur.

The event began with the offering of floral tributes to a photograph of Late Sorokhaibam Lalit Singh.

Theatre Centre Awards for this year were presented to renowned drama artists RK Sanajaoba Singh (Lalit Ningshing Khudol) and eminent writer Mani Yumnam (Ibechaobi Ningshing Khudol) .
