Assam Rifles commemorates 'Op Sindoor' anniversary with motivational session at Rayburn College

Assam Rifles commemorated the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor by organising a motivational session for students at Rayburn College, Churachandpur on April 20, 2026, aimed at inspiring youth towards leadership and nation-building.
According to a press release issued by IGAR (South), Operation Sindoor was a landmark initiative characterised by a strategy of calibrated reprisal followed by the active defence of the nation to uphold the integrity of the borders.
By balancing decisive action with strategic restraint, the operation ensured regional stability while shielding the local populace from disruptive elements.
The commemorative event served to honour the courage and professionalism of the security forces who continue to safeguard the nation under all circumstances.
The interaction focused on the core values of patriotism, discipline and leadership while highlighting the distinguished role of the Indian Army in protecting national sovereignty.
Around 112 students and faculty members participated in the programme which focused on career opportunities within the armed forces.
Detailed guidance was provided on various entry schemes including NDA, CDS, SSC-Tech and the NCC special entry.
Students were briefed on eligibility criteria, physical fitness standards and the character traits essential for becoming future officers.
The session encouraged the youth to pursue excellence and maintain determination in their academic and personal lives.
By focusing on nationbuilding and selfless service, the initiative left the students motivated to contribute meaningfully to the motherland.
