Kakching, October 20 2026: District Election Officer (DEO)/Deputy Commissioner, Kakching Angeline Renita R today chaired a meeting of the Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) at the DC Office Complex, Kakching district.

The DEO/DC discussed and reviewed matters related to the work progress and election preparedness by the EROs for the forthcoming General Election to the State Legislative Assembly, 2027 .

The meeting was attended by the EROs and the election team of Kakching district.

The meeting discussed matters related to polling personnel and transport management, assured minimum facilities of polling stations, special polling stations and upcoming SSR activities in the district.

It may be mentioned that Kakching district has four assembly constituencies namely 36-Wabgai, 37-Kakching, 38-Hiyanglam and 39-Sugnoo.Meanwhile, DEO/DC issued an order relating to the appointment of District Nodal Officers assigning their respective responsibilities in view of the upcoming election for close coordination, accountability, and preparedness in ensuring a peaceful, free, and fair election.
