Symposium on "Globalization's Impact on Manipuri Language" held

Imphal, June 20 2026:
A one-day symposium on "Impacts of Globalization on Manipuri Language and Literature" was held today at the DMCA Auditorium, Dhanamanjuri University, Imphal.
The symposium was jointly organised by Sahitya Akademi, Ministry of Culture, Government of India and DMU's School of Humanities.
Sahitya Akademi Programme Officer Avishek Rath, Manipuri Advisory Board Convenor Rajen Toijamba, DMU Vice-Chancellor W Chandbabu, Associate Prof RK Sangsari Devi, and School of Humanities Dean S Lanchenba Meetei attended.
In the first session, Kh Gokulchandra Singh, Chorom Rajketan Singh, M Sadananda Singh, and Longjam Anand Singh presented papers.
The second session featured Budha Chingtham, Kh Ranibala Devi, Sinam Tondon Singh, B Tarunkumari Devi, and S Sanatombi Devi.
