'Sunday On Cycle' rally promotes healthy lifestyle, green commute

Imphal, August 16 2026: Sports Authority of India, STC-Imphal, Khuman Lampak organised a "Sunday On Cycle" rally today in collaboration with CRPF.

The event was held under the theme "Nasha Mukt Bharat" with the slogan "Say Yes to Fitness, Say NO to Drugs".

The rally was flagged off by Padma Shri Kunjarani Devi along with CRPF officers and personnel.

Commandant of 86 Bn CRPF, Saurabh Kumar Choudhary supervised the event.

The campaign, launched by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports on December 17, 2024, has been conducted by SAI NERC Imphal since December 22, 2024 to promote cycling as an eco-friendly and sustainable way to combat lifestyle diseases and build community fitness.

The rally covered the route from Khuman Lampak to Kangla, Moirangkhom, Singjamei, Pishumthong, Keishamthong, Keishampat Junction, Wahengbam Leikai, Nagamapal, Khoyathong and North AOC.

The event concluded with participants renewing their commitment to serve the nation with courage, devotion and professionalism.
