CEGM celebrates 18th Foundation Day

Imphal, February 16 2026: The Cine Editors' Guild Manipur (CEGM) celebrated its 18th Foundation Day today at Uripok Achom Leikai.

Additionally, the General Body (GB) Meeting of CEGM was also held.

The event was attended by Kh Kuleswar, Chairman of Film Forum; Laimayum Surjakanta, founder of CEGM and former Chairman of Film Forum; and K Ronel Meitei, Secretary of Film Forum, as presidium members.

During the General Body Meeting, members engaged in detailed discussions focused on the development and promotion of Manipuri cinema.

A significant emphasis was placed on strengthening the role and professional standards of film editors within the State.

The house also deliberated on future plans and initiatives aimed at fostering the growth, unity, and welfare of the CEGM.

The celebration marked 18 years of the Guild's dedicated contribution towards enhancing the technical and creative aspects of Manipuri films.

Members reaffirmed their collective commitment to work towards the progress of the state's film industry.
