Imphal, December 15 2025: A two-day national seminar on "Bioresources and Future"began today at the Maharaja Gambhir Singh Memorial Hall, Bir Tikendrajit University, Imphal.

The seminar was jointly organised by the Zoology and Botany Departments of Bir Tikendrajit University.

The inaugural function was graced by Prof Hijam Tomba, former Vice Chancellor, Manipur University; Dr JP Sharma, Pro Chancellor, Bir Tikendrajit University; Dr Ch Brajakishor, State Co-ordinator, Vibhavani India, Manipur State Chapter; and Dr S Yoirentomba, Deputy Directors, MSME Technology Centre, Imphal as presidium members.

The first day of the seminar featured a technical session in which experts, including Prof Ng Iboyaima, Dean, College of Food Technology, Central Agricultural University, Imphal; Prof Ksh Lal Bihari, Botany Department, Manipur University; and Dr Thoudam Debraj, Associate Professor, Medical Oncology Department, AHMS New Delhi spoke on various topics.
