MU orders removal of unauthorised posters

Imphal, September 15 2026: The Office of the Dean of Students' Welfare, Manipur University has directed removal of all unauthorised posters and pamphlets pasted across the campus for the upcoming Manipur University Students' Union (MUSU) Election.

In a notice issued on September 14, the Dean's office noted that despite prohibition on sticking publicity materials without prior written permission, various printed posters and pamphlets related to the MUSU Election have been pasted on university walls, pillars and public spaces including walls of the Main Gate, affecting the aesthetics, cleanliness and discipline of the campus.

All concerned have been instructed to remove the unauthorised posters within the next 48 hours.

The office has sought cooperation from all campus residents and visitors to maintain a clean, beautiful and orderly university environment.
