Imphal, April 15 2026: Thangmeiband AC MLA Khumucham Joykisan today provided financial assistance to Ahanthem Yaiphaba, a video journalist with Impact TV who was injured in a road accident on April 12 evening and is now under treatment at RIMS Imphal.

Joykisan visited the hospital to check on Yaiphaba's condition and handed over the aid to his family.

He also met the attending doctors to discuss the ongoing treatment plan.

The MLA said the assistance is part of his continued efforts to support media persons in distress.

He lauded the media's role in working for the State's welfare and stability, and reaffirmed his commitment to stand by journalists when needed.

Joykisan wished Yaiphaba a speedy recovery so he can return to duty soon.
