World Mental Health Day observed

Imphal, October 14 2026: Department of Home Science, Dhanamanjuri University and the District Health Society (DHS), Imphal East observed World Mental Health Day.

The programme held under the theme "Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change" at GP Women's College was attended by Imphal East Deputy Commissioner Dr Nivedita Lairenlakpam, DMU Vice-Chancellor Prof W Chandbabu Singh, CMO & District Mission Director Dr L Indira, DMU Registrar Dr RK Joteen, Dean of School of Life Sciences DMU Prof L Hemchandra Singh and GP Women's College Principal Prof L Rajen Singh.

Psychiatrist, District Nodal Officer, District Mental Health Programme (DMHP), Imphal East, Dr Md Abdus Sabir and former Head of Department of Psychiatry, RIMS Imphal and founder of Share and Care, Prof RK Lenin attended the programme as resources persons.
