Assam Rifles upgrades Badminton court at Leishangthem

Thoubal, March 13 2026: In a continued endeavour to promote sports and fitness while fostering community engagement among youth, a badminton court at Leishangthem in Thoubal District, Manipur was upgraded on Friday under Operation Sadbhavna.

IGAR (S) in a release said that the upgraded facility is expected to provide improved playing conditions for badminton enthusiasts and serve as a vibrant platform for constructive interaction among the youth.

Local residents expressed heartfelt appreciation, noting that such projects contribute significantly to community development and strengthen the bonds between civil society and security forces.

The event witnessed the presence of representatives from Civil Society Organisations, village authorities and Assam Rifles personnel, collectively strengthening civil-military relations.
