From training to jobs: Homeland Security creates livelihoods for 65 more youth

In a major push for youth empowerment and employment generation, Homeland Academy of Tactical Security and Fire Safety, under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), held the 8th Batch Certificate and Appointment Distribution Ceremony at North AOC, Sanjeeveeni Complex, Imphal on Saturday.
A total of 65 young men and women successfully completed professional security training and were formally handed training certificates and appointment letters.
For the trainees and their families, the occasion marked the start of dignified careers and renewed economic hope.
Prakash Prabhakar, Commandant (ADM), 9 Sector Assam Rifles, attended as chief guest.
Congratulating the candidates, he urged them to uphold discipline, integrity, responsibility and professionalism as they join the private security sector.
Renowned actress and Homeland Security brand ambassador Bala Hijam was also present.
Her participation drew encouragement from trainees and their families.
Welcoming the gathering, Rajkumar Babloo Singh, Director of Homeland Group, said the initiative aims to transform unemployed youth into skilled, employmentready professionals.
"This ceremony is not simply about distributing certificates.
It is about giving 65 young people a professional identity, a dignified livelihood and a new direction in life", he said.
With this batch, Homeland Security has now trained and placed over 700 youths from Manipur.
The programme prioritizes unemployed youth, IDPs and candidates from vulnerable and economically weaker sections through free, residential and employment-linked training.
The event concluded with an interaction with trainees, parents and guardians, followed by a group photograph.
Officials said the model ensures training is directly linked to placement, career guidance and continued support.
