Imphal, July 10 2026: The book "Evolution of the Kabui" authored by Angalu Thaimei was released today at the JN Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA) hall.

The release function was graced by HAC Chairman Dinganglung Gangmei as chief guest, with BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary L Deben, TRCP Assam-Manipur-Nagaland working president Chunkeilung Kamei, general secretary Chaoba Kamson as guests of honour, and JNMDA Director P Bilash as president.

Dr Rokos Kamei gave a brief review of the book.

Speaking at the event, author Angalu Thaimei said she developed an interest in writing from childhood and loved listening to stories from elders.

Inspired by their narratives, she began visiting places associated with them.

She credited her teachers for guiding her to publish the book.
