N Herojit conferred award for Khunung Eshei

Imphal, August 09 2026: Salairen Cultural Research Institution, Singjamei Chingamakha Oinam Leirak, Imphal West has congratulated its artiste Ningthoujam Herojit Singh for being conferred the International Award 2026 in Indigenous Traditional Meitei Khunung Eshei.

In a statement, the institution said the award was presented on August 9, World Indigenous Day 2026, during a function jointly organised by World Human Rights Protection Organisation and Golden Dragon Ibudhou Pakhangba International University (GDIPIU) in recognition of his dedicated efforts and research in the field of Khunung Eshei.

Salairen Cultural Research Institution expressed gratitude for honouring its artiste and wished that Herojit Singh continues to work and research more in the field of Khunung Eshei and becomes an artiste who can showcase Khunung Eshei across the world.
