Senapati Barak Half Marathon marks grand opening of Barak Festival 2025

Senapati, December 08 2025: The Senapati Barak Half Marathon was kicked off on Monday morning at Astro Turf Senapati by the Deputy Commissioner of Senapati Mamoni Doley, marking the curtain raiser to the 4th edition of State Barak F estival 2025.The annual edition is being held under the theme "Run For Harmony" .

Organised as part of Barak Festival 2025, the marathon was conducted in collaboration with the District Administration, Senapati Police, Indian Red Cross Society and Senapati Medical Department.

Around 1,000 participants took part in the marathon, which featured three race categories - 5 km, 10 km and 21 km.

Winners and runners-up across all categories were felicitated with medals and cash prizes.

The prize money for the event was sponsored by the State Bank of India under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

Participants were all provided T-shirts and medals.

The organisers stated that the event aims to promote fitness, gratitude, togetherness and a renewed bond with nature and community, while fostering a spirit of harmony among the people of the district.
