Imphal, November 06 2025: The Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of Manipur has clarified that there has been an inadvertent error during the announcement of the Best Actor Award in connection with the recently conducted State Level Science DramaCom-petition2025, organised by the DST Manipur.

A release issued by the DST, Manipur also informed that upon verification of the official evaluation sheets and consultation with the jury members, the name announced for this particular award was found incorrect.

"The Organising Committee sincerely regrets this oversight and wishes to clarify that the Best Actor Award rightfully goes to Irom Manish of Ananda Singh Higher Secondary Academy for their outstanding performance in the drama titled, Sinmition Chaokhatnabage Damak Afaba Lau-oo Pataf Darkar Tai", it added.

The Department also extended its heartfelt apology to all concerned, particularly to the affected participants and school for the confusion caused.
