The house, which he had been repairing for his wedding, was gone in an instant.
Speaking to this daily, Diamond recounted that he had been in a relationship with his fiancee for over four years and worked hard to renovate his house before the wedding.
There are only three members in the family.
His mother sells 'Singju' at Khurai Heikrumakhong Keithel, while he works as a technician at Airtel.
Diamond continued that the area where his house used to be is now a bare expanse of land with no sign of a house ever being in the location.
He and his family is currently seeking shelter at an acquaintance's place, and his marriage has been postponed till a new house is built.
As such, he urged all concerned to help rebuilt his house and alleviate the sufferings of his family.
Apart from Diamond, the houses of his neighbours, Leichombam Suresh (54) s/o (L) Tomba, Koijam Nabachandra (74) and Keisham Boicha were also swept away by the flood waters.
Leichomba Suresh and his son used to work at construction sites.

The flood on May 31 took away their house and all they have been left with are the clothes on their body.
