PFA Manipur celebrates World Animal Day

As observed across the globe, People for Animals (PFA) Manipur celebrated World Animal Day on Friday by organising various activities.
Notably, the event coincided with the 13th Foundation Day celebration of PFA Manipur.
To mark World Animal Day, members of PFA Manipur released 12 rescued snakes including 10 Monocled Cobra and 2 Checkered Keelback at different locations under Central Forest Division.
The snakes were released under the supervision of N Ganesh, Divisional Forest Officer, Central Forest Division and Akoijam Prem, chairperson, PFA Manipur.
Later, members of PFA Manipur carried out a drive to fasten reflective collar belts around the necks of stray cows and ponies in the Imphal area.
The drive was conducted to prevent/reduce animal-related accidents in Imphal.
Reflective collar belts were also distributed to the Polo team of Eastern Student Club and members of Khurai Polo Club.
