Green Brigade Foundation organises blood donation camp

Moirang, August 03 2026: The Green Brigade Foundation, Manipur, organised its 43rd "Eereichasing Gidamak Kathoklaba Ee" blood donation programme at the Blood Centre of Jawaharlal N ehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) today.

The blood donation drive was organised by the Green Brigade Foundation and JNIMS Blood Centre under the initiative of the State Blood Transfusion Council, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, Bishnupur, and Life Saver Manipur, as part of the third birthday celebration of Yai-oiba Thoudam, son of Thoudam Joychandia and Thoudam Sanjita.

Of the 15 individuals who volunteered to donate blood, seven successfully donated, while the remaining eight were found ineligible to donate for various reasons.

JNIMS Blood Centre Senior Medical Officer Dr K Surjit, Life Saver Manipur Managing Director K Padamkumar Sharma, Indian Red Cross Society, Bishnupur, Secretary Dr H Romen and the parents of Yai-oiba attended the programme.

Prior to the blood donation drive, three saplings were also planted at Toubul in the name of Yai-oiba as part of the birthday celebration.
