Damayanti Devi wins DBSI Teachers' Award

Bringing laurels to the State, Changamayum Damayanti Devi has been honoured with the Dettol Banega Swasth India (DBSI) Teachers' Awards 2026 for her outstanding contribution to promoting health, hygiene and cleanliness among students.
She is among 17 educators selected as national grand awardees from across the country.
The award was presented today at the launch of Dettol Banega Swasth India Season 13 at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti celebrations.
The event was graced by campaign ambassador and actor Ayushmann Khurrana.
The DBSI Teachers' Awards recognise teachers who transform classroom lessons into lasting health and hygiene practices at the grassroots.
This year, 1,435 entries from 29 States and Union Territories were screened by EY and an eminent jury.
The honour highlights the pivotal role of teachers in inculcating healthy habits and spreading awareness on hygiene, sanitation and cleanliness.
The DBSI campaign, a joint initiative of Reckitt and NDTV, has reached more than 400 million people, including 30 million children, over the last decade.
