SCPC hands over final installment for JEE/NEET coaching sponsorship

Imphal, August 02 2026: The Sagolband Constituency Progressive Committee (SCPC) on Sunday handed over the final installment of Rs 2 lakh for sponsoring 10 students undergoing JEE/NEET coaching at Physics Wallah Vidyapeeth, Babupara.

The sponsorship is being extended under the leadership of Sagolband AC MLA RK Imo Singh.

With this installment, the total support extended to the current batch has reached Rs 5 lakh.

According to SCPC, the initiative aims to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder deserving students from accessing quality coaching for competitive exams.

It may be recalled that earlier, 20 students, including some from Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) families, were also sponsored for JEE/NEET coaching through Nachom Edu Foundation.

The SCPC stated that meaningful development begins at the grassroots and that investing in education will nurture future doctors, engineers and professionals who will contribute to society and the nation.

The committee reiterated its commitment to youth empowerment through education, skill development and equal access to opportunities, in line with the vision of RK Imo Singh for a progressive Sagolband.
