Official e-Gazette portal launched

Imphal, August 02 2025: With the stated objective of promoting digital governance and enhancing public access to official information, the government of Manipur has launched its official e-Gazette portal http://egazettemanipur.mn.gov.in on Friday.

A release issued by General Administration Department deputy secretary Thokchom Bedajit stated that the Governor officially launched the portal, followed by circulation of a gazette notification to mark the occasion.

This initiative is in pursuance of the provisions under Section 8 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and aligns with the state government s commitment to sustainable and transparent governance, said the deputy secretary, adding that as notified vide GAD Notification dated July 16, 2025, the Manipur Gazette will henceforth be exclusively e-published.

Subsequeht to formal launch of the e-Gazette portal publications of Manipur Gazette shall only be in electronic form on the portal: http:// egszettemanipur.mn.gov.in; physical printing and sale of hard copies of the Gazette will be discontinued with effect from August 1, 2025; and the Directorate of Printing and Stationery shall maintain official records of all e-published notifications and make them available as and when required for reference.

The launch of the e-Gazette marks a shift towards paperless administration, and enhance accessibility, to government notifications, and efficiency in dissemination of official information, the release added.
