Awareness programme on PACS held

Imphal, July 02 2026: The District Cooperative Officer, Imphal West, and the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Manipur, jointly organised an Awareness and Motivational Programme on Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) today.

The programme was held at the Training Hall of Manipur State Cooperative Union (MSCU), Lamphelpat.

Registrar of Cooperative Societies Waikhom Ibohal Singh attended as chief guest while DCO, Imphal West, Kh Tarunkumar Singh presided.

Speaking on the occasion, Kh Tarunkumar said the programme invited resource persons from various departments to discuss ways to develop PACS in Manipur.

He added that the sessions focused on schemes available to PACS members from different departments and training opportunities they can access to strengthen their societies.

The event aimed to equip PACS members with information on Government support and capacity-building programmes for improving agricultural credit delivery at the grassroots.
