MAPI Council celebrates 26th Foundation Day

Imphal, July 01 2026: The Manipur Peace and Integrity (MAPI) Council observed its 26th Foundation Day on Wednesday with modest programmes in view of the State's prevailing situation.

A welfare event was held at Yaibilen Children Home, Keibi Sanapat, Imphal East.

T-shirts, rice bags, peas, ngari, edible oil, tinned items, potatoes, onions, and sweets were distributed to the children to support their wellbeing.

Members of Nongpok Leingak Apunba Nupi Lup and the president of Awang Sekmai Advance Women Society extended support and participated.

As a second programme, MAPI Council planted tree saplings at Chingkhei Ching, Kangla Siphai, Imphal East, aiming to mitigate the effects of climate change.

Organisers said the activities reflected the Council's commitment to social service and environmental protection on its foundation day.
