Rotary Club of Imphal honours school teachers on 52nd Foundation Day

Imphal, October 31 2024: The 52nd Foundation Day of Rotary Club of Imphal (RID-3240) was celebrated at Rotary Bhavan, Mantripukhri today.

During the programme, 15 school teachers were honoured with Nation Builder Award under TEACH programme of Rotary India Literacy Mission, said a release issued by Rotary Club of Imphal.

Nation Builder Award winners for the year 2024 are-Chingsubam Taibungnganba Meitei of Porompat Sabal Leikai High School, Anita Langoljam Chanu of Porompat Sabal Leikai High School, Oinam Jamuna of Heirangoithong High School, Thokchom Sarita Chanu of Heirangoithong High School, Maisanam Langam Singh of Kongpal Imphal Morning High School, Naorem Bimol Singh of Kongpal Imphal Morning High School, RK Ella Devi of Minuthong Faizia High Madrassa, Md Firoz Khan of Minuthong Faizia High Madrassa, Khuman Chanu Kangjam Sonibala of Sagolband Popular Upper Primary School, Rajkumari Umadini Devi of Sagolband Popular Upper Primary School, Haorungbam Bejurani Chanu of Laijing Ningthou Govt Jr High School, Thangjam Lakshmipriya of Laijing Ningthou Govt Jr High School, Laikhuram Rupachandra Singh of Rahmania High School, Pupul Heikrujam of Keishamthong High School and Kumdamleima Konjengbam of Keishamthong High School.

The event was graced by Laishram Nandakumar Singh, Director of Education (S), Government of Manipur; Phijam Saratchandra, president, Rotary Club of Imphal; Devkumar Thoudam, assistant governor, Zone XII; W Rabichandra, CLCC and Sanjay Das, secretary of RC Imphal as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, L Nandakumar Singh congratulated all the awardees and thanked Rotary Club of Imphal for motivating the school teachers through such programmes.

He assured that the Department will extend all possible help to the club for promoting education in the State.

The event was also participated by ZEO Zone I & II, school head masters, students and members of the club.
