KVK Thoubal organises cleanliness drive under Swachhta Pakhwada

Thoubal, December 30 2025: As part of the nationwide Swachhta Pakhwada campaign being observed from December 16 to December 31, the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Thoubal, organised a mass cleanliness drive at KVK Thoubal campus and carried out plantation of various tree saplings to help restore ecological balance in the surrounding environment.

The cleanliness drive was held on the theme "Clean and Green - A way of Life, not Just a Calendar event" and was led by KVK Thoubal Senior Scientist & Head i/c, Dr Kh Premlata Devi.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kh Premlata Devi appealed to farmers of Kakching and Thoubal districts, as well as the general public, to maintain cleanliness and hygiene starting from their own homes.

She also stressed the importance of developing the habit of planting trees to restore ecological balance and to keep the surroundings free from diseases.
