Imphal, July 30 2024: The Manipur Naga Youth Organisation, Headquarters (MNYO-HQ) has submitted a representation to the Director of Handlooms & Textiles requesting an extension with regard to the last date for submission and issuance of application forms for marketing incentive under NHDP for 2024-25 by one month in respect of the hill populace.

A press release issued by the publicity and media cell of MNYO has cited the current situation in Manipur and the inconveniences faced in the hill areas due to a lack of newspapers, TV channels, internet facilities, electricity, road communications, and irregular government office operations as reasons for the extension.

It further cited the long distances between villages and between villages and District/Sub-Divisional Offices as another reason.
