THOUBAL, September 29 2025: The Leishangthem Apunba Lup (LAL), an apex body of all clubs, Meira Paibis, and organisations of THOUBAL Leishangthem, on Sunday marked the 129thbirth anniversary of Lamyanba Hijam Irawat with a grand event combining the 3rd Village Level Literary Meet-cum-Felicitation ceremony at Leishangthem Ima Lairembi Shanglen, Leishangthem Keithel.

The commemorative function began with dignitaries paying rich floral tributes before the portrait of Lamyanba Irawat.

The event was graced by Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency MP, Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam as chief guest; Thoubal Assembly Constituency MLA and former Chief Minister of Manipur, Okram Ibobi as functional; and Khangabok AC MLA Okram Surjakumar and LAL president Heikrujam Priyokumar as guests of honour.

Highlighting the spirit of the occasion, achievers in various fields and meritorious students' of Leishangthem Gram Panchayat were felicitated with certificates, citations, and Lengyan Phee in recognition of their accomplishments.

As part of the celebration, winners of the quiz and poetry competitions held on the theme of Lamyanba Irawat were also honoured and feted, making the day both memorable and inspiring.
