Tpl/Ukl, Apr 28: Commemorating the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, Assam Rifles continued its initiative by organising a series of commemorative events across Manipur to instil a sense of national pride and provide career orientation to the local youth.
According to a release issued by IGAR (South), the initiatives, held at Holenphai village in Tengnoupal and Ramva in Ukhrul, served as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces while fostering a spirit of integration within the border communities.
At Dr Colvil Academy in Holenphai, Tengnoupal, 120 students participated in a vibrant poster-making competition.
The participants translated complex themes of sovereignty and national unity into evocative artwork, reflecting a profound respect for the military operations that safeguard the region.
Meanwhile, at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Ramva, Ukhrul an interactive session led by the Shakpao Company Operating Base provided 80 attendees, including students and faculty, with a comprehensive overview of the strategic objectives and triumphs of Operation Sindoor.
Beyond the historical commemoration, the interaction also focused on career opportunities in the Armed Forces, encouraging students to embrace discipline and academic excellence.
