Health minister Dr S Ranjan Singh on Tuesday reviewed Covid-19 preparedness at JNIMS Hospital and Thoubal District Hospital.
The ministerial team visited the hospitals as a part of the precautionary measures being taken up nationwide following the instruction of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi under Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The minister informed that the review meetings have been convened with officials concerned and hospital authorities have been instructed to keep medical equipment and infrastructures like oxygen cylinders, ICU wards, and isolation wards ready for use at any time.
Face masks should be used at public places, he further advised.
During the visit at Thoubal District Hospital, Dr S Ranjan also convened a meeting with the hospital officials and staff.
The minister was accompanied by additional chief secretary V Vumlunmang, NHM, Manipur director Dr Somorjit Ningombam and other health officials.
