Imphal, June 27 2026: The Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons, Manipur, solemnly observed the 146th Birth Anniversary of Helen Adams Keller on Saturday at its office premises in Haorang Keirel Warok Shabal.

The programme was attended by president P Gopendro Singh, chief functionary M Premier, staff members, and unit volunteers.

The event began with floral tributes before Helen Keller's portrait, honouring her remarkable life and legacy as a global advocate for persons with disabilities.

Speaking on the occasion, P Gopendro and M Premier highlighted Keller's message of courage, perseverance, inclusion, and equal opportunities for all.

They urged everyone to work towards an inclusive society where persons with disabilities live.with dignity, independence, and equal participation.

The event concluded with a collective pledge to strengthen disability rights, community awareness, and inclusive development in Manipur.

The programme was organised with support from the National Foundation for India under its Community Empowerment Initiative.
