CRPF inaugurates water storage tank

Three water reservoir tanks constructed by 143 Battalion CRPF as part of its Civic Action Programme, 2024-25 under the aegis of Manipur & Nagaland Sector, CRPF were inaugurated on Wednesday and handed over to the villagers of Rengpang, Khongsang and Nungba villages.
According to a release issued by Office of the Commandant-143 Bn CRPF Lamphel, the inaugural function was graced by Ravinder Sharma, Commandant 143 Bn as chief guest of each location and handed over the newly constructed water reservoir tanks to villagers of Rengpang, Khongsang and Nungba,in the presence of Amaree Prasad, Dy Commandant, Ksh Binodkumar Singh, Asst Commandant and K Angambou, Asst Commandant.
Speaking on the occasion, Ravinder Sharma, Commandant of 143 Bn said that, under the Civic Action Programme, the 143 BN CRPF has been trying to address the needs and requirements of the locals.
"This will help to build trust and rapport between CRPF and public and synergy can be maintained", stated Ravinder Sharma.
The people of Rengpang, Khongsang and Nungba also extended gratitude to the 143 Bn CRPF for constructing the water reservoir tank.
The 143 Bn CRPF further stated that the newly constructed water take will help reduce burden on women who generally walk a long distance to collect drinking water.
