Pharmacists asked to renew license

Imphal, July 26 2022:
The Directorate of Health Services (Drug Control Administration) has instructed representatives of pharmaceutical outlets to consult authorities concerned at the soonest possible so as to maintain the registry with accuracy and transparency.
In a notification, State Drugs Controller N Rimotkumar Meetei informed that during inspection and verification of registry of drug licenses maintained in the directorate, many
defects and deficiencies which may lead to non-compliance of the provision of the Drugs and Cosmetic Act, 1942 and rule 1945 have been detected.
Stating that non-renewal/ retention of drug license and enrolment of registered pharmacists who are qualified persons in more than on drug licence are serious offences, he urged all concerned to consult the Drug Control Administration for amicable solutions
and for proper preserving of the registry in the interest of public health.
