District-level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament held at Thoubal College

Thoubal, February 26 2026:
As part of the nationwide Viksit Bharat campaign initiated by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, a District-Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament was held today at the Multipurpose Hall of Thoubal College.
Held on the theme "50 Years of Emergency: Lessons for Indian Democracy", the parliament was jointly conducted by MY Bharat, Thoubal; the NSS Unit of Thoubal College; and Thoubal College.
The inaugural session was attended by Thoubal College principal Prof A Nabachandra as chief guest; Thoubal College Teacher Association (TCTA) president Dr N Ibobi Singh as functional president; and former NSS Programme Officer of Thoubal College, Associate Prof Dr Romendro Singh as guests of honour.
During the youth parliament session, Yumkhaibam Bishwaraj secured the first position with a total of 286 marks; L Sanathoi stood second with 252 marks, followed by N Maniratan in third place with 232 points.
Ch Thanilsana secured the fourth position with 198 marks.
The winners were felicitated with cash awards and certificates at the conclusion of the programme.
