Imphal, February 25 2026: 'Sannaroisinggi Numit' was celebrated today at Irilbung, Imphal East district, to commemorate the State's remarkable achievement of winning the "Raja Bhalendra Singh Overall Team Championship Trophy" at the 5 th National Games held in Imphal in 1999.The event, organised by the Huyen Lalong Manipur Thang Ta Cultural Association (HLMTTCA), was graced by H Amujao, Principal of DSAC Irilbung; Padmashree K Sanathoiba, Director of HLMTTCA; Laishram Naobi, ex-Member of Keirao Gram Panchayat; and Dr Gurumayum Biseshwor, Assistant Guru of HLMTTCA .

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Biseshwor emphasized that the association aims to promote Thang-Ta, an ancient indigenous art form that has safeguarded Manipur's boundaries and identity.

He urged the current generation to actively promote this art, which showcases Manipur's culture, sports, and religion to the world.

During the event, the association launched its new production "Maram Macha Khousarol", part of the "Ta Khousaba" series, showcasing the talents of its students and teachers.
