Koireng-led UNLF celebrates

Imphal, November 24 2024: The armed Koireng-led United National Liberation Front (UNLF) reportedly celebrated Front's 60th Raising Day on Sunday According to a statement of the UNLF, the 60th Raising Day celebration functions were held at its central headquarters (CHQ), MPA general headquarters (GHQ), MPA battalions and units.

The main celebration at the CHQ was attended by chairman NC Koireng, officiating general secretary M Iboyaima secretary (agriculture & environment) Y Abo and secretary (health & family welfare) O Chingkheinganbi as presidium members.

The event was also attended by secretary (organisation) Ksh Yoiheiba, secretary (finance) M Munan, Military Affairs Committee member K Puyaning (CC member) and senior officers and staff officers of different departments as well as MPA VCS, party cadres, officers, NCOs and others.

Highlight of the celebration at different venues were paying of two-minute silence in memory of fallen cadres during the course of revolutionary movement, salute and lowering of Front's flag to half mast and reading out of annual statement of the central committee.

Speciality of this year's Raising Day celebration was participation of large numbers of people disenchanted with India's Suppressive regime, said the UNLF statement issued by publicity secretary M Shak-hen.
