Imphal, June 24 2025: Assam Rifles conducted a comprehensive cleanliness drive, including an awareness lecture on hygiene and sanitation, at H Mongjang village, Tengnoupal District today.

As per a release issued by the IGAR (South), the campaign also involved extensive fogging and chemical spraying aimed at eliminating mosquito breeding sites and reducing the risk of vector-borne diseases.

The lecture for the villagers covered the importance of personal and environmental cleanliness and focused on topics such as proper waste disposal, clean surroundings and the adoption of healthy hygiene practices to promote a disease free lifestyle.

Over 65 individuals, including local residents and Assam Rifles personnel, actively participated in the initiative.

The campaign reflects Assam Rifles' ongoing commitment to improving public health and living conditions in remote and rural areas.
